The Lakeland Center, the county's largest convention, entertainment and catering destination has teamed up with more than 12 local vendors to provide one lucky couple with a dream wedding and reception valued at $10,000 in return of "The Lakeland Throws a Surprise Wedding" contest. New for 2012, the "Surprise" element offers a unique twist where the couple will leave all the planning, decorating and event coordination to the Lakeland Center's talented staff. The couple will not see the final result until a special unveiling on their wedding day, September 15th. Couples can enter the contest by posting a short video featuring both the bride and groom on The Lakeland Center Facebook page beginning January 9, 2012 through February 14, 2012. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, and romantic expression.

The grand prize package includes a bridal gown provided by Jannabelle’s Bridal, invitations by Stationery Loft and wedding rings by Gaines Jewelers. The lucky bride and groom will enjoy a complete wedding and reception at The Lakeland Center sponsored by their official catering partner OVATIONS including decor by Party People Celebration Company, linens by Marilyn’s Linen and Weddings, floral arrangements by the Flower Cart and a wedding cake by It’s A Piece of Cake by Maggi. The bride and groom will be pampered with a wedding make-over by Montalvo’s Hair Salon, DayDreams Day Spa and Mary Kay. In addition to the wedding day festivities, a family rehearsal dinner will be provided by La Porta Rossa and a wedding night suite at the Hyatt Place Hotel. The contest is also being sponsored by 97 Country WPCV.

To enter simply post up to a 3 minute video www.facebook.com/thelakelandcenter explaning why you should win the grand prize! Deadline to post video is February 14, 2012 at 11:59pm EST and only one video per couple will be accepted - duplicates will be eliminated from the contest. All videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges and 6 finalists will be selected from the entries.

Public voting for the top 6 finalists will begin February 24, 2012 and run through March 8, 2012. The finalists video with the most votes during this period will be awarded points toward the final selection process. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on WPCV 97 Country on the morning of March 9, 2012.
